Day-1 CPT Eligibility
McDaniel College supports both Transfer F1 students and Initial F1 students to participate in Day-1 CPT (Curricular Practical Training).
CPT Duration and Renewal
The CPT approval is granted for one year at a time, and it can be seamlessly renewed after expiration. If there is a need to update job positions or employers' information, students must report and apply for the necessary updates with the school.
Responsibilities and Consequences
It is important for students to maintain good academic standing. Failure to meet attendance requirements for in-person classes, not submitting assignments, or engaging in academic dishonesty can lead to the revocation of CPT privileges, and severe cases may result in expulsion.
GPA Requirement for CPT
To be eligible for CPT, students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above. Failure to meet this requirement can impact future CPT applications. Students need to uphold academic excellence to continue benefiting from CPT opportunities.
